...(AND) FINALLY, DUST. A WHOLE LIFETIME, REALLY.
...(ET) ENFIN, DE LA POUSSIÈRE. TOUTE UNE VIE, QUOI.

(2026) Scene conceived and performed as the first act of Detours in the dumbwaiter, a performative event in 2 acts and an exhibition orchestrated with Federico Pozuelo and Javier Ruiz del Río, Docks Dora, Turin (IT).
10 min sound piece (lower floor) and installation (upper floor) : negative prints made from plaster powder and clay, illuminated by Act II: SUBLUNARY-SUPERLUNARY, HD video loop and stereo sound composed by Federico Pozuelo and Javier Ruiz del Río. Together, the two acts propose a playful use of the upstairs and downstairs spaces, the live and the recorded. Photo.: Biagio Palmieri.

This act directs our eyes to the walls that contain us, to our need to find a place and the drive, having found a hidden door, to go through and out. The title is inspired by a passage from Samuel Beckett’s Mercier & Camier, where readers follow the duo as they attempt to leave town. Like the endless obstacles and distractions that slow these characters in their escape, constantly throwing them off course in an ever thickening fog, the scene and installation present the spectator with things moved and gone that, at the same time, remain stuck to their surroundings.
